[KHI C151 105/106 - Joyride from EW4 Tanah Merah to EW3 Simei] Date filmed: 11 April 2025 Time of recording: between 1735hrs to 1739hrs Towards: (1) Pasir Ris Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 (GTO-VVVF Variant) Train Run: 342 Depot of Origin: Tuas Depot Final Destination Depot: Tuas Depot Carriage filmed at: 2106 door A4/B4 area (No. 2 end) AM/PM/Full Day: PM Peak Service (from Tuas Depot, Last Round Trip) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 105/106, which is from Tuas Depot (TWD) to serve the East-West Line (EWL) for the PM Rush, from EW4 Tanah Merah to EW3 Simei, bound for EW1 Pasir Ris. For the entire of the year 2026, I will be uploading backlog KHI C151s videos that I currently have, slowly releasing them day by day for nostagia purposes. Enjoy them while you can! A ride on a KHI C151 through the old Tanah Merah Platform A (now renamed as Platforms B/C) and the viaducts before currently not used after 9th December 2025 with the opening of the Tanah Merah Modification Project (TNMP) and the new Platform A, in view of the upcoming CAL2TEL conversion on the horizon. The KHI C151 that was seen arriving EW4 Tanah Merah B (now renamed as Platform F) was Trainset 015/016, deployed as Train Run Number (TRN) 158. Also super slow Temporary Speed Restrictions (TSR) being imposed between this strech... Either way, let us enjoy the strong motor that was present on carriage 2106 door A4/B4 area. Unfortunately, Trainset 105/106 has been retired from the NSEWL network, with EMU 106 being sent for scrapping on 4th March 2026, and EMU 105 being sent for scrapping on 11th March 2026. 📲 Follow me on socials!
