This 1973 MGB V8 convertible was formerly owned in Joshua Tree, California, though registered in North Carolina. One of several cool cars owned by a since-passed dragster racer, this fun weekend driver / daily driver '73 MG V8 has been kept nice and dry throughout its life and shows no rust and not a whole lot of wear either. Some of the gauges don't work, the gas shows 1/4 tank even when it's empty, there are a couple of tears in the roof, 3rd and 4th gear grind when the car is cold and there's a switch behind the driver's seat you have to turn on in order to turn the car on...it's for the fuel pump and it keeps the battery from dying if you are going through long stretches without driving it. The tires are old and have deep tread but I'd replace them anyway. Now, the positives: It's traffic-stopping gorgeous even amid far more expensive cars. It drives fantastically well and could easily be your next daily driver. Recently serviced with coolant flush, LOF, brake flush etc. There's literally no car on the market for this money that matches the thrills, the joy and the conversations you strike up pretty much every single place you go. Good looking in photographs, great looking in person. Sharp paint, laser-straight body, nice interior, relentlessly powerful motor.
