Alina is 20 and wears a diaper day and night. She doesn't feel the need to go to the toilet. Alina is incontinent. Her incontinence has dominated her entire life, especially her childhood. At school, other children bully her. Alina has to change her clothes several times in the bathroom, and school trips are unthinkable. She has tried various aids, medications, and treatments to manage her incontinence. She has repeatedly sought out new therapies and medical advice. Many of them didn't help, and some seemed to offer only a short-term solution. To this day, Alina is careful about how much she drinks. Sometimes, in her youth, she drank as little as half a liter a day; her incontinence was then under control, but she became very dehydrated and weak. Alina suffered physically from the side effects of the strong medication and still has kidney damage. Her incontinence has placed a great psychological burden on Alina for a long time. It's only since a stay in a psychiatric hospital that Alina has accepted herself as she is. There, she was finally able to make friends who accept and support her as she is. Now, she's using social media to advocate for incontinence among young people to no longer be a taboo subject and is openly addressing the issue so that people no longer feel alone.
