Hollywood Burbank Airport (KBUR) | IFR Approach into KBUR and Peek Inside the BEST FBO Here

Fly with us in our Piper Arrow into Hollywood Burbank Airport (KBUR) onto Runway 08. We’ll talk about the why Burbank Tower is awesome, visit one of the most unique spots in Burbank and we’ll show you why Million Air is the best chain of FBOs around! TRANSIENT PARKING There is NO transient parking here. Pick from two FBOs located at this airport, see below for more info. FBO There are two FBOs located at this airport; Million Air and Signature Aviation. We were excited to visit Million Air on this visit and it did not disappoint! The FBO has a large lobby with seating and panoramic windows with views out to the ramp and runways for the best plane spotting. Limited snacks, coffee, water and soda are available. Freshly prepared cookies can typically be found in the “Canteen”. There are two flight planning stations with a large printer/fax. There are 2-3 crew car available for a 2 hour limit. Rental car reservations can be arranged through the FBO. Breakdown of fees for our Piper Arrow III for May 2025 (4 Hour Stay) $0 Facility Fee ($40 fee waived with 15 gallon fuel purchase) $121.20 Avgas (15 gallons @ $8.08/gal) $131.40.10 TOTAL (includes taxes) FUEL You won’t find any self-service fuel here. Full-service fuel is available through any of the FBOs listed above. RESTROOMS Restrooms are located in the FBOs and are well stocked with amenities. CREW CAR / RENTAL CAR/ RIDESHARE Both FBOs on field have crew cars available for a limited time (typically 2 hours) on a first come basis. Rental car reservations can be arranged through the FBO. Rideshare is also another great option for this area for close or one-way trips. FOOD There aren’t any restaurants on the field but you won’t find a shortage of good food close by. Make a visit to Porto’s just south of the airport for well loved Southern California pastries and Cuban food or stay close to the airport and grab steak and shrimp at Salsa and Beer located on Sherman Way. COFFEE We visited Kaleido Coffee (https://www.kaleidocoffeela.com) on this visit and loved our bruleed banana coffee. It was smooth and perfectly balanced. We also loved the location – it was a perfect spot to hang out and enjoy our coffee. Also on our list for future visits is Brothers for einspanner coffee options and The Hide Room for their Cookie Cloud Latte. Burbank is filled with filming studios – take a tour of the Warner Brothers Studios. We are not huge movie fans and enjoyed this tour. But if you’re a huge Friends or Gilmore Girls fan you’ll LOVE the tour. Universal Studios theme park is located 10 miles south of the airport. Spend the day at the park and/or Universal City Walk for a fun-filled day. Spend the Day at Griffith Park and explore Griffith Observatory, the Old LA Zoo and/or the new LA Zoo or grab a tour of the Greek Theater. For a unique LA experience tour the Hollywood Bowl and visit the museum. Seeing the venue empty is just as impressive as seeing it full.
