A2 Biology - Nitrogen cycle (OCR A Chapter 23.3)

The nitrogen cycle shows how nitrogen (in the forms of ammonium ions/ammonia, nitrite ions and nitrate ions) is recycled within the ecosystem. As nitrogen is needed to make amine groups to make amino acids (which make up proteins), in a way we can see how energy is transferred through an ecosystem.
