Carbon makes up all organic material (eg. carbohydrates, lipids, proteins), so by tracking how the carboy is recycled in the ecosystem, in some sense we can also see how energy can be transferred. In this video we will discuss how carbon is recycled in the ecosystem (the carbon cycle) and the roles decomposers and detritivores have in the cycle.
