New terrain system | Dragontwin
Here's an early look at a new terrain system we started working on during the summer to allow for a massive, seamless world without sacrificing quality. The plan before was to have the world split into smaller regions you load into due to the limitations of the terrain system built into the engine and other terrain systems on the market, where you either had to sacrifice size or visual quality. With this system it seems like we'll be able to achieve both.
