A red flag prohibiting swimming was in effect at the time of the incident. The children were pulled to shore, but the 42-year-old man himself was submerged. The incident occurred on Sunday after 3:00 PM in Międzywodzie. According to preliminary police findings, a 42-year-old resident of the Goleniów district noticed his two teenage children drifting away from the shoreline. He decided to intervene and entered the water to bring them to shore. After approximately 10 minutes of searching, the man was found underwater. - The children returned to shore safely, but despite resuscitation attempts, the life of the 42-year-old could not be saved - says cadet Izabela Kik, spokeswoman for the District Police Headquarters in Kamień Pomorski.
