In this video we're reviewing the Russian Dative Case. The primary function of the Dative Case is to indicate the indirect object of the sentence. Taken very literally, the indirect object is typically the person who "receives" the direct object or benefits from (or is impacted by) the action of the sentence. The Dative Case is also used with many "verbs of communication" (i.e. сказать and звонить, as discussed in the video).
