Çay Koydum Uşaklar Çaya Buyurun - Ertürk Demirci (Rabatlı) | Ahıska Türküsü
My dear friend, poet and minstrel Ertürk Demirci (Rabatlı) penned the exquisite work "Çay Koydum Uşaklar Çaya Buyurun" (I Poured Tea, Lads, Come For Tea). We transformed this unique piece into an authentic Artvin Şavşat/Ahıska folk song using the advanced parametric modeling of the Suno V5.5 AI music engine. In this project, we blended the hospitality of the highlands and a warm tea invitation with a noble female vocalist, accompanied by entirely acoustic instruments such as the tulum (bagpipe), accordion, kemençe (fiddle), bağlama (lute), and kaval (flute). For the digital editing, we opted for a simple visual structure with music as the focal point, using authentic stone veranda architecture and traditional elements of a highland house. I extend my deepest gratitude to my valuable companion, Ertürk Demirci, for allowing me to compose his work and thus contributing to this cultural exchange. -- ORIGINAL POEM -- I'VE MADE THE TEA, BOYS, COME AND HAVE TEA I brought the finest tea from Rize I've made the tea, boys, come and have tea. Don't worry about the smell of the teapot I've made the tea, boys, come and have tea. I separated the dust, it's the first kind The scent of tea filled the garden and the house Erzurum sugar is stronger than stone I've made the tea, boys, come and have tea. I spread seven covers, come and lie down You can add powdered sugar or confetti Or you can add honey or syrup I've made the tea, boys, come and have tea. There are walnuts and some grapes too I want folk songs if my request is fulfilled Tonight my saz will play for my beloved I've made the tea, boys, come and have tea. RABATLI, forget your sorrow and grief Those who arrive will find a place, the ship is departing I've kept you waiting quite a while, it must be time now I've made tea, lads, come and have some tea.
