Z80-MBC3 kit to be assembled. A brief overview and getting started hints.
This is a introduction and overview of the Z80-MBC3 DIY computer kit. It is the revised edition introduced in 2021, with some added features, and even easier to assemble compared to the previous version (Z80-MBC2). It does however run the same disk image and can boot vintage operating systems like CP/M (2.2 or 3), QPM, UCSD Pascal, and programming languages like Basic, Forth, and Turbo Pascal. The kit is supplied with the necessary add-on modules and micro SD card. So the buyer only needs some basic tools like a soldering iron, soldering wire, a cutting plier and a multimeter to create their own classic terminal operated single board computer. The board is powered via the USB-TTL adapter or a separate 5 Volt supply. The USB-TTL is to be linked to a PC which can serve as a terminal using an emulation program like PuTTY. Further documentation, schematics and software repositories are archived on Github under : https://github.com/eprive/Z80-MBC3
