Whats The Thames Path Like ?- From Lechlade to Shifford Lock

Parts 3& 4 of our adventures on the Thames Path saw us walk from Lechlade on Thames to Shifford Lock. It had been a year sonce we last walked the Thames Path woth our friends the Dales. And like JUne 2023, this was another hot weekend. Two days of walking covering about 16 miles in total, with the odd detour. The 1st day saw us make our way to Radcot Bridge where we ate in the Ye Olde Swan pub. This section interesting and we first encountered locks on the river too. And of course got our photo with Old Father Thames. Boats using the river became more frequent sights too. Day 2 saw us walk the most remote and isolated section of the Thames Path. It's a wild section and seldom walked we'd say. Paths were overgrown. WW2 Pill Boxes are frequently encountered and many can be explored too. The Chimney Meadows nature reserve is a really wild spot and theres a bird hide their to soak it all up. A brilliant weekend walking with good friends too....
