Dome House Problems: Delays, Disputes and Budget Blowouts | Siquijor 🇵🇭

Two months ago I visited Nathan's ambitious dome-building project near Paliton Beach on Siquijor. Since then, progress has been far slower than he expected and the project has faced challenge after challenge. The biggest problem has been delays in obtaining the machine needed to produce the aircrete blocks required for construction. On top of that, family members of the person who sold Nathan the land arrived on site and claimed that the seller had no right to sell the property, bringing work to a halt and creating even more uncertainty. The project has also gone significantly over budget. The original contractor's quote was around ₱680,000, but Nathan has already spent more than ₱750,000 and the dome is still far from complete. In this video I return to Siquijor to see the current state of the build, hear Nathan's story, and find out whether the project can still be saved. Just when it seems like nothing is going right, a long-awaited delivery finally arrives and gives the project a chance to move forward. Will the dome ever be finished? Watch to find out.
