The Emerald Isle Explorer - Steam Train, Tipperary Town

Steam train journey through Ireland with 270 passengers on board. On Tuesday the 23rd of June 2015, the steam train stopped at the rail station in Tipperary town to be filled with water. Local spectators enjoyed and savoured the spectacle as a reminder of bygone days. A steam locomotive with its tender that carries water and coal. Vintage carriages for the passengers and the diner / bar. Station infrastructure includes platform, station house, car park, stores, rails and sleepers, ballast, points for trains to switch tracks, semaphores (signals), signal cabin, level crossing with manual gates, pedestrian footbridge and siding with buffer stop. The sounds to be heard are the hissing of the steam, the whistle, the clatter of iron wheels on the tracks, the release of steam from the engine and the crowd noise. The plumes of smoke and steam puffing into the sky.
