In this episode, we'll take you on a trip to Vlorë and Durrës, visit a Byzantine monastery on the Narta Lagoon, and discover a Roman amphitheater and pristine beaches. Our family adventure is gaining momentum! We begin with pure relaxation by the pool in Golem, before heading towards Vlorë. This city surprised us – from the monumental Independence Monument, through the charming old town with its colorful townhouses, to the modern promenade perfect for a stroll by the sea. But the true magic awaited us right next door, at the Narta Lagoon. A stroll along the endless pier to the 13th-century Monastery of St. Mary is a moment we'll remember for a long time. The next day was an encounter with history in Durrës. We walked from the Venetian Tower, along the massive defensive walls, to the Roman amphitheater, which once held 20,000 spectators! After a dose of history, we opted for contrast: a modern square with fountains and palm trees, and then an escape to a wild, pebbly beach with incredibly clear waters. At the end of the day, we found ourselves at the Liriada restaurant – the quantity and taste of the local food completely overwhelmed us!
