In the Colombian Pacific, a few years ago, there were still old people who claimed that the marimba was played in heaven. Currently, in Tumaco, the sound of a marimba, the beating of two conunos, two bass drums, and two guasás on a Saturday night, indicates the celebration of a currulao. In the film, amidst currulaos, dance, stories, poetry, colorful choreography, and narratives intertwine, depicting the daily life of the people of Tumaco. They are descendants of African slaves. The remastering of audiovisual content to 2K, supported by artificial intelligence, represents a possibility in the preservation of cinematographic works. In addition, color correction was performed to access natural colors. The remastering significantly improves sharpness and visual detail. This means that the colors are more vibrant and faithful to the creator's original intention.
