The Winter Warmer Gala 2025 - The Battlefield Line - 11th January 2025 My adventures on the Battlefield Line    • The Battlefield Line   My first gala of 2025 and a visit to The Winter Warmer Gala on the Battlefield Line, and you might have thought it a little false advertising as the temperature was struggling to get above around -4 by mid morning. The temperature and thick fog didn't seem to have put many off with standing room only on the main set. All services were severely delayed due to the weather with frozen points and frozen pipes for the steam heating, but no one seemed to mind and rather enjoyed watching the work to get things moving eventually.
