Teens Crash Stolen Kia While Attempting To Evade Police

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11-07-2023 | 12:30 AM LOCATION: 31st Ave – Lupine Ave CITY: Phoenix DETAILS: Phoenix Police officers located a stolen Kia Soul occupied by 2 males driving west on Peoria Avenue near I-17 around 12:30 AM. The officers followed the Kia at a distance, keeping eyes on the vehicle while relaying its direction of travel to nearby units. Officers observed the vehicle enter a residential area travelling northbound on 33rd Avenue from Peoria Avenue. Officers observed the vehicle crash into the wall of a residence near 33rd Ave and Lupine Ave moments later. According to Phoenix Police, 2 juvenile males, ages 13 and 14, ran from the vehicle. The driver was quickly taken into custody and the passenger was located in a residential front yard a short time later. Fire crews responded to the scene and evaluated both teens. One refused medical attention and was taken into custody, the other was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
