Trading Card Game Mechanics EVERYONE Uses | TCG R&D

Lets take a look at some trading card game tropes that everyone uses, and find out how we should use them correctly. Trading card games need to be constantly checked on their mechanics to make sure the TCG itself isn't broken. This is how TCG tropes start to emerge as we find core mechanics that fit within a TCG, that we repetitively use in practically all of our TCGs from the largest TCGs to the smallest homemade TCG. In a world where originality is praised we are still drawn to these core mechanics that we find in 99% of TCGs.
