This expedition quickly gets WILD

First, we're heading into Daniel Boone National Forest in search of some very old abandoned mines that pre-date the national forest itself. Trying to find these old tunnels and ruins in this area is always a gamble, but the scenery NEVER disappoints. Daniel Boone N.F. is an amazing place and the kind of stuff that you can find off of the beaten path is pretty cool. Next, we're going over the border into Eastern Tennessee. We're looking for some lost mines from the 1950s. Supposedly, they are tucked away underneath Hurricane Mountain. I definitely got more than I bargained for on this particular trip. Holes in the forest, abandoned buildings, angry bears, a MAJOR storm and some incredible views. Hurricane Mountain is a very appropriate name for this place. You'll see what I mean...
