In this event, Baran, who was still a child at the time, lost his mother Ayten. His father Kudret lost his ability to speak and was confined to a wheelchair. Baran and his brother Cihan were taken care of by their grandmother Azade, also known as Hanımağa. She constantly reminded them that according to tradition, blood feuds must be carried out. On the other side of this conflict was Seyid, who moved to Istanbul with his family and managed to disappear for many years. Over time, Seyid opened a small kebab shop.
