The journey of Kurt Seyit, a lieutenant from Crimea, and Shura, the beautiful daughter of a noble Russian family, from the days of magnificence to the Carpathian front line, from the riots to revolution, from Alushta to occupied Istanbul, to Pera in the 1920’s, is in a sense the journey of their love. Shura comes to Petrograd (St. Petersburg) with her sister Valentina because of their fathers’ illness. Shura meets Kurt Seyit, the noble Crimean-Turkish lieutenant at the first ball they attend. Shura’s father is partners with the Borinski’s and their son Petro is the old fellow comrade of Kurt Seyit. Petro has left the army because of a reason that only Kurt Seyit knows and has got into business with his father. This secret has put a damper on Petro and Seyit’s friendship. While having a good time with his close friends from the army, Celil, Misha and Vladimir, Seyit sees Shura, has a crush on her and can’t get her out of his mind… Petro’s hidden hatred grows as he realizes that Seyit is in love with Shura. He will continue to stand next to Seyit as his best friend while putting obstacles in his way and trying to destroy their relationship with Shura.
