#4 Eye candy / tulip mania. Mid-April hike from the train station at the heart of Dutch tulip country. One of three tulip hikes around Lisse suggested by Wandelnet.nl. April-May is the zenith of tulip season and you can enjoy many fields of colour with tulips, hyacints and daffodils. The hike itself is mostly on tarmac and do expect not much tranquility, because you’re joined by tourists, bikes and cars that take the same route along the tulips. A smaller part of the hike is more quiet on footpaths, but then… no tulip fields.
