Why the difference in the reception for the F 450 GS (YAY!) as compared to the KLE 500 (BOO! HISS!)?

BMW has announced their new F 450 GS at EICMA. And the reception it's getting (a baby GS!!!) is COMPETELY different from that received by the Kawasaki KLE 500 (LOSER!).
