Got a snatchy throttle on your CFMOTO Ibex 450? Here's a possible fix you can try! UPDATED 12/2025!

Someone in the CFMOTO Ibex 450 U.S. owners group suggested this fix for the snatchy throttle. Results were mixed between those who said it definitely helped and those who said it did absolutely nothing. There was a 3rd group who said it could not possibly help because it was a derivation of instructions for the Ibex 800T and therefore could not work on the 450 due to the differences. As for me, nothing ventured - nothing gained. I figured it can't hurt to try it, so I did.... DECEMBER 2025 UPDATE: I recently updated to the latest software on the bike - which resulted in putting the snatchiness back in the throttle. I performed this fix and again it resulted in vast improvement. BE SURE TO USE A TIMER. Don't just count in your head, which can be inaccurate. Use the full 8 seconds to open, hold for the full 20 and use the full 8 to close the throttle. If you only take 7 seconds to fully open it or you're only 90% open at the end of 8 seconds, it probably affects your results. Practice several times with the timer while everything is switched off to get used to the timing. Good luck!! Also, mine is an Ibex 450 in the USA. It's become apparent to me that the 450MT has different software, so it's possible that it would work on an Ibex but not on an MT. Thanks for stopping by!
