OpenRoad visits Sonoma North Coast regional parks – July 2020
OpenRoad with Doug McConnell recently stopped by for a tour of two of our northern gems: Stillwater Cove Regional Park and Gualala Point Regional Park. Less than two hours from Sonoma County, these remote parks showcase mature redwood forests – aka the “lungs” of Sonoma County – and intact (and undammed) riparian habitat, which we work to protect with a variety of our local partners. With relatively little human traffic, and rugged beauty, both these parks – “where the forest meets the sea” – make great COVID-safe beach combing, hiking and camping stops.
