Komfortable Supermoto? Yamaha Tracer 7 und GT 2025 im Test

Let's start with the look: It has been consistently developed further, but the Tracer 7 has nevertheless remained true to its lineage. In other words: Even though many things are new, the Tracer 7 is still recognizable as such – but more modern, sleeker, and more dynamic. In terms of technology, the CP2 engine, in particular, has been adapted to Euro 5+, similar to the MT-07. It is now controlled via ride-by-wire, which enables the application of three riding modes (Street, Sport, Custom). Cruise control is now standard on both versions, as is traction control with two modes and the option to deactivate it. An anti-hopping clutch with reduced clutch lever actuation force is also standard. Chassis news: Like the MT-07, the Tracer 7 now also features an upside-down fork. Here, it is adjustable for rebound damping (18-way). The rear shock absorber is only adjustable for preload, although on the Tracer 7 GT, this is done with a practical handwheel. The steel frame has been redesigned, the swingarm has been lengthened by 40 millimeters for greater stability, and its rigidity has been optimized. Further chassis improvements include the new radial brake calipers and the Tracer 7's new Michelin Road 6 GT tires.
