The priority is not to increase performance or add a few extras, but rather to those areas and details where potential for improvement has been identified. The engine of the Honda Transalp, like the NC750X tested with it, remained untouched. The 755 cc inline two-cylinder still produces 92 hp and generates a maximum torque of 75 or 68 Newton meters in the A2 version. This performance meets a weight of around 208 (another figure was 210) kilograms. The tank holds just under 17 liters, which, with a consumption of 4.4 liters, is enough for a theoretical range of 386 kilometers. During our test drive, consumption was at times over 6 liters, but in the end the new 5-inch TFT only showed a respectable 4.8 liters given the driving style. A turn-by-turn navigation can also be shown on the display using connectivity, and navigation through the menu is even easier with a better structure and a new control pad. Only the deactivation of the ABS on the rear wheel has been made as cumbersome as possible for safety reasons.
