The Mystery of Azazel

Shalom Aleichem brethren! Through the direction and help of the Holy Spirit, on this Day of Atonement – Yom Kippur, we are sharing the video teaching on Azazel. Leviticus 16 is one of the most perplexing passages of the Bible – which for centuries has bewildered Jewish and Christian scholars/commentators. When we listen to Christian commentators and go through their explanations on Azazel, we come across two theories. And each side refutes the other by either not taking into consideration their points at all, or by superficially considering their points and then jumping to conclusions. The conventional Jewish commentaries don’t have this conflict because they don’t consider the Brit Chadashah as Scripture, as part of the Canon. Thus, at some level, most or almost all commentaries lack certain crucial facets which should not be ignored or treated superficially, but rather be dealt-with head-on. Through the help of Ruach Adonai, this video teaching scrupulously takes into consideration every aspect by looking at this multi-layered ritual from a neutral perspective, and then presenting the reasons for the correct interpretation. The Tavilah of Messiah Yeshua took place on the 1st of the month Elul - the period when the observance of Selichot Prayer-days actually begins - wherein is reflected the time-period of forty days and forty nights found in the Ministry of Moshe Rabbenu and that of our Mashiach - Yeshua Ha-Natzrati!
