Griffin Precision Mounts (GPM) - Optic Mount Lineup Overview

The Griffin Precision Mount lineup has been an ongoing development project for ~5 years at Griffin Armament. Griffin's goal with the GPM lineup was to make a no compromise system supporting accessory interfacing adapters which we call our Accessory Interface Suite (AIS), and deliver an exceptional mounting solution first, with ease of machining being a distant second consideration. As tactical precision shooters ourselves, we firmly believe an optic mount that cannot hold its zero during abusive conditions should not even be considered at all (i.e. military applications - the most abusive in the world). Cheaply made parts especially with rings that are themselves bolted onto optical grabber bases and which can move or break on impact are a liability to the end user, and should not be tolerated. This video showcases 40 new SKU's added to the lineup- including ~13 stand alone mini red dot and prism sight mounts, as well as several new AIS suite accessories. This video showcases the new QD mounts and lightweight cantilever mounts, and their new features including 17-4 recoil lug and shim plates which simplify mounting procedures. The original Griffin Mounts are extremely robust, but the market desired lighter more compact and versatile designs. We redesigned lighter variants of our mounts, as well as a QD mounting interface. This most recent generation of GPM mounts are significantly lighter and consume less real estate, while still retaining their characteristic high strength, high zero retention, unibody construction. Unlike many competing mount products available, each GPM mount is a completely unique item, requiring 5 unique CNC programs PER SKU/Individual height/diameter mount, whereas other mounts typically use a set base rail, with bolted on rings to accommodate different heights. With the GPMs, each complete mount including it's ring tops are machined from a solid bar of 6061 aluminum, resulting in dimensionally perfect concentricity of the internal bore - yielding exceptional accuracy and robust zero retention. GPM Mounts retain the dowel-pin ambidextrous Accessory Interface Suite (AIS) of optic mounting accessory plates, which can be used on any of the five AIS surfaces around the rings (Top, Left/Right 90°, & Top Left/Right 45°). The patented, vertically offset horizontal plane split-ring design makes this possible, where other mounts have limited placement options, especially for left-handed shooters.
