The Lefty vs The Right (choice) - Griffin Armament HRT-556 AM

This quick (ish) video is to showcase 2 suppressors that have arrived for the channel for testing - Both offering similar promises and price points. As low back pressure cans become all the military rage and driving DOD contracts, manufactures are pushing their capabilities further to continue improving on the shooter experience both from a gassy stand point and a sound one. Q has never been a proponent of back pressure reduction in their line up (pointless, since their guns are gassed perfect right?) and they have never cared about 3D Printing (Its expensive, why change what works). So the Lefty, is more of a "out of left field" suppressor from the folks at Q. However, as with every industry, if you dont meet the needs of the government, your DOD chances are dead in the water. 3D Printed Core, Stainless tube and mount, the Q Lefty is out to be a budget friendly (for Q) suppressor offering low blow (TM Q) tech, with "impressive" sound reduction. While I can confirm the low blow technology is present, I'm still looking for that impressive sound signature... Then we have Griffin Armament. After shot show 2026, we kind of fell in love with the new AM line up - especially the HRT-556 AM that came in a unique style, weight class, and suppression offering. Griffin’s next generation line of additive manufactured (3D printed) silencers are printed in-house from our proprietary patent-pending Nickel 625X™ superalloy that is ~68% stronger than INCONEL® 625, with a 100°F higher service temperature. The numbers reported by Griffin on their youtube really painted the promise high, and my expectations were kept in check. . . till we shot it. The HRT-556 AM gave us one of the most pleasing 556 suppressed shooting experiences we have ever experienced on our 11.5" MK16 designated build. This makes sense since Griffin designed this platform for the Hostage Rescue Team requirements, which is based on an FBI 11.5" build. Our Scar 16 Host features a 13 position adjustable gas piston from Mototech Engineering (TM) - the Scarburator. We are introducing this to the channel officially in this video to give a new baseline to how we test reduced backpressure suppressors moving forward. This will allow us to hopefully find a baseline that most users are familiar with, and then add and minus gas from this. A lot more testing, a lot more footage, and a lot more fun coming. Thanks Griffin for working with us to get the HRT-556 AM out to us, and thanks to you guys for sticking around to help us fund the Q Lefty, since Q hates us, just like HK hates the poors!
