Exploring Japanese forest trails on a KTM 250 EXC-F 【Kanegatake Forest Road】 Winter has arrived in the channel's timeline, which naturally brings up concerns about winter closures. I've already been to the Mikabo Super Forest Road, so if there's one I've forgotten to visit, it's the Kanegatake Forest Road. It's a popular forest road, one of the group of forest roads around Lake Mizugaki. I've been to Yokoo-yama and Matsudaira in the spring, and it's a forest road I visit every year as a matter of course, but this season I completely missed it. So, I made it to the Kanegatake Forest Road just in time for the winter closure. Its selling point is the views of the Yatsugatake Mountains and the Southern Alps. The clouds that rolled in this time were a bit of a disappointment. However, even taking that into account, it was well worth it.
