Why did we choose to live right here, on the Baltic coast near Oskarshamn? We get that question regularly. In this vlog, we take you to one of the places that provides exactly that answer for us. Less than twenty minutes from our house lies a beautiful beach resort where we love to cool off on warm summer evenings. While enjoying a cold beer by the water, we look out over the rocky archipelago, watch the ferry to Gotland sail past, and on clear days, we can even see Öland lying on the horizon. The birds, the thousands of small fish along the coast, and the tranquility make this place still feel special. Oskarshamn municipality is located on the Baltic coast of southeastern Sweden and is surrounded by a vast archipelago with thousands of islands, rocks, and sheltered bays. It is a landscape that changes with every season, where nature and silence still have plenty of room to flourish. It is precisely these kinds of simple summer evenings that make us realize time and again why we chose this place.
