【脳卒中片麻痺を知る】麻痺側上肢が動かない理由③ 末梢が分からない・末端に力を込める具体的なアプローチの提案・ベイサイド・B・Cさんからのコメントにお答え
[Summary] ■Comment from @BC-bw5eb (Bayside B・C) I've been suffering from hemiplegia for two years now. There's something I've always thought at the rehabilitation hospital. "Being able to move" and "being able to move without much inconvenience in daily life" are completely different things. I always thought that, "I'm sure I'll be able to move again someday." Because I'm not in a vegetative state, I'm more interested in the extent of my movement than the actual movement itself. These days, I wish therapists would upload more videos that show "If you do this, you'll be able to move this much," rather than just videos that show "If you do this, you'll be able to move this much." ■Reasons why paralysis doesn't allow movement (including review of past videos) ① Inability to recognize/attention The brain doesn't properly recognize that "your hand is there." Because the brain doesn't have a map of the hand, it can't properly send commands to move. ② Fixed or Retracted Scapulae The scapula, which serves as the "base" for arm movement, is pulled back and stiff, or not held in the proper position. Because this base is unstable, the arm cannot swing freely. ③ This Time: Loss of Sensation in the Extremities (Fingers) One major cause is a "cognitive disorder," in which the brain is unable to recognize the tips of the fingers (extremities). This is not a sensory disorder. Starting at 3:10 PM, we will suggest practice methods to regain sensation in the extremities. ■ From Yamada Current medical science does not offer a magical cure for paralysis, and rehabilitation is also a desperate journey in search of that "answer." The gap between being able to move a finger slightly and being able to use it practically in daily life is huge, and it takes many years. Therapists are also troubled by the current inability to cure the condition, sacrificing sleep to search for solutions. Even though they cannot fully understand the pain of those affected, they strive to be there for them. Touching an object with your immobile hand and using your good hand to support it while consciously applying force and feeling the sensation of touch can sometimes lead to improved recognition. 01:17 Comment from Bayside B.C. 04:05 Therapists are desperately searching for answers, too. 06:25 There's no magic cure for paralyzed hands. 13:10 Why is peripheral recognition necessary? 15:10 Practice methods to regain feeling in your fingertips. 16:50 Rather than searching for answers, try it yourself. ------------------------------------------------ ■Rehabilitation Studio WillLabo This is a private rehabilitation facility located in Ryogoku.
