On this day Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra come out of the temple and stay in the Sri Gundicha temple for seven days. According to legend, when Lord Krishna went to Dwarka, he had promised Radha and the people of Vraj that he would come to meet them once every year.
