TVS-The Baltimore Metro SubwayLink

The short-but-sweet Baltimore Meto Subway is a modest little rail line who was built in the Early and Mid 80s around the same time as Miami Metrorail's Elevated System causing them to share a subway car order. The Metro Subway unlike Metrorail, runs underground in the Central business district of Baltimore than rises to an elevated near West Cold Spring Station where it follows the Western & Maryland freight railroad to the Beltway interchange with I-795 near Old Court station. The last few miles of the line is then spent running in the wide-median of I-795 to Owings Mills which frankly is in the middle of nowhere. Ridership is heavy on the line, enough for them to run full 6 Car trains during rush hour, and keep the trains at 4 any other time. In July 2017, The Metro Subway will be renamed Baltimore MetroLink as part of their BaltimoreLink rebranding.
