In this video, Sven shows you a simple technique that can often improve your head turning immediately – through your eyes. Because your eyes and your cervical spine are more closely connected than many people realize. Through the so-called oculomotor reflex, your nervous system can release movement that was previously blocked by protective tension. Important: This exercise is only suitable for you if you don't have an acute injury to your cervical spine and your mobility is truly restricted. If you can already turn your head 90 degrees without any problems, you don't need this exercise. In this video, you will learn: ✅ why your brain sometimes blocks neck mobility ✅ what your eyes have to do with your cervical spine ✅ how to use the oculomotor reflex ✅ why you should gently prepare your cervical spine beforehand ✅ how to test your head rotation to the right and left ✅ how to release more rotation with eye movements and exhalation ✅ why more mobility also requires more stability ✅ how to immediately stabilize the new mobility The procedure: 1️⃣ Prepare your neck Gently turn your head to the left and right, make controlled chicken head movements, and consciously raise and lower your shoulders. ✅ how to use your eye movements and exhalation to increase rotation 2️⃣ Test the Rotation Turn your head to the right and left and note how far you can turn it. 3️⃣ Use the Eye Reflex Turn your head to the end position, first looking where your nose is pointing, then moving your eyes to the corner of your eye and continuing to turn as you exhale. 4️⃣ Train Both Sides Carefully repeat the technique on both sides. 5️⃣ Stabilize Press your hand against the side of your head without moving it. Hold for 10 to 20 seconds on each side. Optionally, maintain a slight double chin and press your tongue against the roof of your mouth. The most important point: Increased mobility is only beneficial if your body can control it. Therefore, this exercise doesn't end with "more rotation," but always with stabilization.
