What was 8 inches deep under a rock ? A great metal detecting find !

Digging around the old cellar hole with my metal detector and trying to get in the tough sections with rocks and trees . Old clothing buttons from the 1700s and 1800s were found and that's great. But the best find was a crazy signal on the Fisher F19 metal detector . I started digging and realized it was under a rock and at least eight inches deep. Wait till you see this colonial relic of a find, and it is all there intact. Took a bit of exploring to find this old place all overgrown and deserted for hundreds of years but it was a great discover with great metal detecting finds. What was 8 inches deep under a rock ?
