Bird Photography in the Wetlands | OM-5 II & 100-400mm II
Can a compact camera still deliver when it comes to bird photography? For this outing, I paired the OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II with the M.Zuiko 100-400mm II and headed to a local wetland to see what this lightweight, more accessible wildlife kit could accomplish in real field conditions. Throughout the morning I photographed a family of Common Grackles actively feeding their young and put Pro Capture to the test as the adults arrived and departed the nest. Later, an Eastern Kingbird provided another opportunity to capture fast action as it repeatedly launched from its perch to hunt over the water. Rather than focusing on specifications, this video follows a real morning in the field and demonstrates how the OM-5 Mark II performs during actual wildlife photography. I also share several of the finished images along with screen recordings from my Atomos Ninja recorder so you can see how the camera handled each moment. Whether you're just getting started with bird photography or looking for a lightweight system to carry into the field, I hope this video offers a realistic look at what this combination is capable of. Thank you for watching, and if you enjoy wildlife photography and spending time in nature, I'd love to have you subscribe for more field adventures, photography tips, and gear insights.
