SPOOKY HALLOWEEN PIE | home cherry pie recipe

Boo!!! A simple and delicious recipe for homemade cherry pie. A very cool Halloween treat idea. INGREDIENTS: pie crust: 360g flour 2tbsp sugar 1 1/4tsp salt 170g cold butter cut into 1/2 inch cubes 60ml cold water pie filling: 500g pitted cherries (fresh or frozen) 230g granulated sugar 40g cornstarch 2tbsp lemon juice 1/4tsp cinnamon Jack’s paper stencil COOKING METHOD: 1. In a bowl of a planetary mixer, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. 2. Gradually add cold butter cut into 1/2 inch cubes. 3. Gradually add cold water. 4. Knead the dough and divided it into 2 pieces. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes. 5. In the pan put the pitted cherries (fresh or frozen). Add sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Stir to a boil. Cook over low heat until thickened. Let cool. 6. Roll one piece of dough into 5mm thick layer. Place the dough in the cake pan. Layout filling. 7. Roll the second piece of dough into a 5mm thick layer. Put Jack’s paper stencil and cut out eyes and smile (I drew Jack myself, but you can print it is well). Put a layer of dough on the filling, squeeze and cut the dough along the edge. Egg wash. 8. Bake pie at 350F\180C for 30-35 minutes. Thanks for watching!
