Morning Prayer ~ Love Those Who Hurt You and Leave Justice to God

You said you forgave them. But the pain came back — fresh and alive — like it never left. You brought it up again. And again. Because saying the words is not the same as letting go of the wound. This morning, we deal with both. Not just the battle. The hurt underneath it. Because you cannot hand justice over to God while you are still holding onto the pain. And that pain — if you let it reach your heart and stay — will turn into bitterness. And bitterness will steal your peace, taint your mind, block your blessings, and slowly cut you off from everything God has for you. Romans 12:21 — "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." What happened to you will not define you. It will not rule over you anymore. God becomes your shield. Your contender.
