Sport Scientist & Dietitian Review LMNT Electrolyte Drink
LMNT is an electrolyte drink. This product was initially created for keto and paleo individuals who the founders believed needed additional salt in their hydration. This product could be useful for people who want a product to use outside of training (especially people with low blood pressure). It has 1000mg sodium, 200mg potassium, and 60mg magnesium per serving. The flavors are creative. Alex didn't like the flavors, but Michelle did! It's definitely something different and worth trying. During sports, there could be some potential issues. The sodium comes from only salt (we'd recommend using some sodium citrate at higher levels of sodium intake), the potassium also comes from a chloride ion so more chloride, and the magnesium and stevia could also cause some gut distress. We would recommend that this can be a good product for outside of training, but we don't recommend it during training.
