Small Locomotive With Big Train & Some Of The Oldest Rail You Will See On A Main Line, Close Look

Short Line Railroad Action Using A Small Switcher Locomotive On The Main Line. Train Load Of Railroad Ties & Storage Cars. This Train Is Using Norfolk Southern Railroad Tracks On The Peavine Line In Ohio. This Is The Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. This train is moving raw railroad ties westbound across the line from McCoy Lumber to the Norfolk Southern interchange. The train is also moving some storage flat cars. We see the train running from Mount Zion, Ohio to Sardinia, Ohio. The locomotive is an EMD MP15DC. Where else can you see a switcher locomotive pulling a road freight down the main line? The CCET leases 69 route miles of track from NS and that doesn't count the spurs and sidings. We also see part of my farm at the end of the video. This is a 7 acre tract that is at the county line and is separated from the rest of my farm by a couple miles or so. The county line actually runs along the property boundary.
