TAKE NOTE | Air quality in the Dominican Republic will be compromised and deteriorated over the next few days due to the arrival of smoke from the Canadian wildfires and the proximity of a new Saharan dust cloud: the sky dawned hazy across much of the country. 🔴The Canadian smoke has been accompanied by a trough that has pushed it from the North Atlantic to the Caribbean region: the good news is that we will have moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. 🔴This afternoon, the effects of the trough and humid winds will bring periods of rain to the Central Mountain Range, southeast, northeast, and northwest: due to the smoke coming from the Atlantic, allergic reactions may occur. 🔴Tomorrow, Thursday, we will experience the influence of a trough, and Tropical Wave 29 will approach, bringing more significant rainfall to several provinces. The Canadian smoke will move away, and some gusty winds with lightning are possible. 🔴And on Friday, Saharan dust cloud number 12 will reach the Dominican Republic, remaining until Sunday and causing allergic reactions and stifling heat throughout the country.
