Conocido también como el “Príncipe de los puritanos”, este hombre comenzó a escribir cuando tenía 26 años. A la postre, se convertiría en un escritor popular y prolífico que en 41 años completaría más de 80 obras, muchas de las cuales se convirtieron en clásicos cristianos.
