Juvenile Male Gorilla Snatches a Baby—What Happens Next?

What starts as a sweet sisterly spat over a hammock at Prague Zoo turns into a double-dose of drama! Watch as juvenile male Ajabu decides to take matters into his own hands—not once, but twice! The Story: Mobi and Gaia are the best of friends, but even the closest sisters have their "disagreements." Today, the big prize is the hammock! In the excitement, you'll see Mobi take a bit of a tumble out of the ropes. Don't worry—the keepers make sure there is plenty of soft mulch for a safe landing, and she's right back up for more! But the girls aren't the only ones playing today. Ajabu, who is nearly 10 years old now, is watching from the sidelines. Just as things settle down, he rushes in for a "snatch!" He scoops up a little one like a rag doll, flipping her completely upside down before disappearing behind the rocks. Is he being a protective older cousin, or is he just looking for a playmate of his own? Watch until the very end to see his second "rescue" mission!
