May 2026, at Chiba City Zoo. Chiba City Zoo usually has a quiet, laid-back atmosphere, but there are times when that isn’t the case. On this particular day, when visitors started shouting loudly, Monta was clearly irritated by the noise. There were also several instances where Momoka approached Monta once the visitors had quieted down. If Monta isn’t calm first, Momoka won’t be calm either. Fortunately, there’s a simple solution to this. Visitors should make a conscious effort to “quietly observe the animals” rather than “make a racket while watching them.” If you’re planning a trip to a zoo, let’s all start doing this starting tomorrow!
