People don't believe manual scavenging is still done: Bezwada Wilson

Bezwada Wilson, the national convener of the Safai Karmachari Andolan (SKA) and winner of the prestigious Magsaysay Award for his struggle to restore dignity to the 'untouchables', tells us that many people do not even know that there are thousands of people still employed in manually scavenging work. He says that the amount of humiliation he had to suffer and the manner in which the society forces children of people employed in this activity to continue with the same vocation was what led him to become an activist.
