CRESTE DEL NEVEGAL: Da La Casera al rifugio Col Visentin

Episode 223 This hike had been on my bucket list for a while, and the opportunity arose in these first days of the year. We started from the large parking lot in La Casera and followed the crest trail, with its gentle ups and downs through landscapes with beautiful views, until we reached the Col Visentin refuge at 1,764 meters, a beautiful balcony overlooking the Belluno Dolomites, the Feltre peaks, the Lagorai, the Cadore mountains, and a wide view of the Veneto plain. This is a very popular route, highly sought after by hikers of all levels, as the elevation gain is not challenging and the total distance is manageable. I therefore recommend starting early in the morning to enjoy the mountains and lunch at the refuge at a leisurely pace. On the way back, you can enjoy other beautiful views. At the Bortot refuge, you can find another rest point where you can rest and admire the surrounding landscape.
