Sonargaon Coventry Review: Food came in a CAR?! (No Aloo in Biryani? 😭)

Sobaike Shagoto! (Welcome back everyone!) If you're a true Bangali, you know the struggle of finding authentic Kolkata-style biryani when you're living in the UK. I was craving that light, fragrant rice, the boiled egg, and most importantly—the legendary ALOO (potato)! 🥔 My search led me to Sonargaon, a popular Bangladeshi restaurant on Walsgrave Road in Coventry. But before I could even taste the food, the delivery shocked me. Forget the usual Zomato, Swiggy, or Deliveroo bikes... my order literally pulled up in a whole car! 🚗💨 Now, about the food: It wasn't Kolkata style at all. It was a rich, deeply spiced, authentic Bangladeshi/British Asian style lamb biryani. No aloo, but the flavor? On point. And those lamb chops? Absolutely charred to perfection and full of masala juice.
